Lizzo Hits No. 1 With Single, ‘About D*mn Time’

Today, Lizzo’s hit song “About D*mn Time” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the week of July 30. Charts will be updated on Billboard tomorrow, July 26.

After 13 weeks on the chart, “About D*mn Time” replaced Harry Styles’ “As It Was” for the top spot. This is the pop star’s second song to reach the highest spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. The summer bop “Truth Hurts” hit No. 1 back in September 2019 and remained there for seven weeks. 

The 34-year-old singer’s newest album Special also debuted in the No. 2 spot on the Billboard 200 chart. The album will become the highest-charting album released in 2022 by a female artist.

Other songs that are on this week’s Top 100 chart include Jack Harlow’s “First Class,” Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God),” and “WAIT FOR U (feat. Drake & Tems)” by Future. 

“About D*mn Time” was released back in April as the lead single for Lizzo’s fourth studio album Special, which was released on July 15. The single quickly blew up on TikTok, especially after social media influencer Jaeden Gomez created a dance to the second verse.
