The Boyz Are Ready to Release New Mini Album Be Aware
The Boyz are back with a new mini album after a ten-month hiatus from their last comeback, MAVERICK, and are ready to stun the world. After releasing the schedule for their pre-comeback promotional content on August 1, fans have been excited to learn that the group will be dropping the music video for one of their new songs titled “TIMELESS” before the EP’s official release date.
The eleven-member group under IST Entertainment, which includes Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, New, Q, Ju Haknyeon, Sunwoo, and Eric, emerged in 2017 with the song “Boy.” They have consistently been releasing hits since their early days and have now achieved immense popularity among fans worldwide. Their popularity was enough to grant them a world tour, which has been running since May and is to conclude on August 7.
The Boyz World Tour 2022 began with the U.S. leg, visiting major cities such as Los Angeles, Chicago, and Dallas. Throughout June and July, the tour ventured to other countries like France, Germany, Thailand, and Indonesia. After a final performance in Seoul, the group finally decided to return with a long-awaited comeback.
Last week, the group released teasers under a joint series called “Wings of Desire.” Many anticipated that these teasers signified a comeback. After the group released concept photos on August 2, these theories were confirmed. This time, The Boyz are switching to a more toned-down look and feel—a great contrast to their previous dark and dystopian single album. The group is infamous for their experimentation with different concepts and genres of music, constantly shifting from bright and bubbly sounds (“Bloom Bloom”) to serious and grounded beats (“Reveal”).
A great deal of mystery remains surrounding this comeback. However, the group has showcased their ability to pull off nearly every style thrown their way, so this time it is impossible to guess what The Boyz have in store. Based on the official schedule, the “TIMELESS” poster teaser was released on August 3, the track list will be revealed today, and the first music video will air on August 8. Consequently, more concept photos will be posted until the music video album release date on August 16.
