Lucy Boynton Cast in New Rom-Com The Greatest Hits
Director Ned Benson (The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby) has found his female lead for his upcoming rom-com The Greatest Hits. British-American actress Lucy Boynton (Murder on the Orient Express) is set to star in the film.
The film, The Greatest Hits, is described as “a soulful romantic comedy centering on the connection between music and memory.” Boynton’s role in the film comes after she parted ways in a biopic about iconic singer Marianne Faithfull, where she cited “creative differences.”

The actress is the perfect fit for Benson’s upcoming film. She is most notably known for her role as Mary Austin in the 2018 biographical musical drama Bohemian Rhapsody. In addition to the Freddie Mercury biopic, she can also be found in Sing Street (2016) and Murder on the Orient Express (2017). Her other film credits include Why Didn’t They Ask Evans?, The Politician, and The Ipcress File.
The Greatest Hits‘ plot has not been divulged, and Benson is still searching for a male lead. The film will be produced by Groundswell Productions’ Michael London (Thirteen) and Shannon Gaulding (Spider-man), along with Ned Benson (Black Widow), Stephanie Davis (Rachel Ray), and Cassandra Kulukundis (There Will Be Blood).
As fans impatiently wait for Boynton to star in an upcoming rom-com, they can find her in The Pale Blue Eye for Netflix, opposite Christian Bale and Harry Melling, as well as Searchlight’s Chevalier. The AMC+ drama, The Ipcress File, was recently renewed for a second season, with production to begin in 2023.
The Greatest Hits will begin production in September. Here at Glitter, we can’t be more excited to watch Lucy Boynton in another musical film. Fans can watch her films on all major streaming services.
