Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex Unveils New Podcast ‘Archetypes’
Meghan Markle is ready for the world to know the real her. The Duchess of Sussex aired her first podcast, Archetypes, on Tuesday.
On August 23, The Duchess of Sussex promoted her podcast for Spotify. As she sits on a comfortable couch with a microphone ready, she states, “People should expect the real me in this, and probably the me that they’ve never gotten to know — certainly not in the past few years, where everything is through the lens of the media as opposed to, ‘Hey, it’s me.’ Meghan continues, “I’m just excited to be myself and talk and be unfiltered and…yeah, it’s fun.”

In celebration of Archetypes, Meghan’s first guest was none other than tennis icon Serena Williams. The tennis star is good friends with the Duchess. The two spoke candidly about the double standard between men and women, specifically on the subject of ambition.
Williams took to Instagram, sharing a stunning black and white image of the longtime pals with Williams’ daughter, Olympia. She writes, “I loved talking about so many important topics with my dear friend Meghan as her first guest on #archetypes for @spotify! It’s out now and worth the listen, especially if you’re ambitious.”
Meghan describes Archetypes as being “about the labels and tropes that try to hold women back.” She elaborates, “Over the course of the next dozen episodes, we’re going to live inside and rip apart the boxes women have been placed into for generations — boxes like diva, crazy, the b-word, sl*t. Some of these words — these labels — are harsh; they’re abrasive. And I want to get to the bottom of where they come from, why they’ve stuck around for so long, and — importantly — how we can move past them.”
Here at Glitter, we cannot be more excited to learn more from Meghan’s Archetypes. Be sure to listen now only on Spotify.
