Peacock Releases the New Trailer to Rom-Com Meet Cute
Peacock has shared the forthcoming trailer for the romantic comedy, Meet Cute. The film stars The Big Bang Theory alum Kaley Cuoco and Pete Davidson (Big Time Adolescence).
The exciting news of Cuoco and Davidson teaming up was first announced in June 2021. According to the press release, Meet Cute is a “wildly inventive deconstruction of the romantic comedy built around the question: What would you do if you could travel to your loved ones’ past, heal their traumas, fix their problems, and change them into the perfect partner?”
The trailer shows Sheila (Cuoco) confessing to Gary (Davidson) that she is from the future. Gary, clearly confused by Sheila’s remark, is shocked to find out her big secret. With the help of her time machine, the couple continues to fall in love over and over again. Sheila wants more than one perfect date night; she uses the time machine to her advantage without thinking of how her actions will impact Gary. Sheila seeks the time machine to turn Gary into the “perfect man,” a label he does not care for.

Alex Lehmann, the film’s director, expresses the joy he had working with such a talented crew. He states, “If I had a time machine right now I’d be torn. Do I skip ahead to our release date, or do I go back and relive the joy it was making this film? Lucky for me it’s a decision I don’t get to make. I’m excited for audiences to get swept away on this wild romantic ride exclusively on Peacock.”
Meet Cute was penned by Noga Pnueli and filmed entirely in New York City. For fans of beloved classics such as Groundhog Day and 50 First Dates, Meet Cute is an essential film for rom-com lovers everywhere. Meet Cute will arrive on Peacock on September 21. The trailer is available to watch below.
