Apple Releases New iOS 16 Update
On September 12, Apple released the new iOS 16 update, which is available for all iPhones starting from the 8th generation to the new iPhone 14.
The announcement was made during the Apple event on September 7, including the release of the iPhone 14. Users are excited to use the edit and undo messages feature. With iOS 16, you will now be able to edit a message you have already sent or unsend any message within 2 minutes of it being delivered. However, the deleted message will still be available on devices not updated to the iOS 16.
Significant changes have been made to the lock screen as well. You can now personalize the text, font, color, and placement of the elements on the lock screen, like the time and date. With the new update, you can hold, drag, and switch their spots based on your liking. Furthermore, you also have the ability to create and store multiple lock screen designs so that you can switch between them as desired as well as choosing which widgets you want to display.
There is also a unique update called Focus. Instead of having to place your phone on Do Not Disturb mode and muting all notifications, you can now categorize them under “Personal” or “Work/Professional.” You also have the option to choose which notifications you want to receive and which ones to mute. Another interesting feature is the Live Text, where users can interact and manipulate the text in videos to translate what they mean or copy and paste the text.
In addition to this, there have been changes to Safari, Maps, Home, and Apple Pay Wallet. On Safari, you can pin your tabs or share them with friends. The Map app allows users to now add stops in their route and check and pay fares during transit. Apple Pay users also now can split fares and utilize buy now and pay back overtime.
Apple users are very excited for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus. The new shiny purple color and vibrant Super Retina XDR display caught their attention and left all iPhone lovers awestruck. In addition, the new iPhone has a longer battery life of up to 26 hours, emergency SOS, crash detection, and better camera quality for low-light photos.
