The season finale of Big Brother premiered on Sunday, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Three years after Tamar Braxton became the first African American to win Celebrity Big Brother, history has been made again in Big Brother. Taylor Hale, former Miss Michigan USA, was crowned Big Brother and America’s Favorite Houseguest winner. These announcements made her the first player in the show’s history to take home both titles. She is now the highest-paid winner in the series’ history.
After 82 days in the Big Brother house, it’s safe to say Taylor’s journey on the show was filled with adversity, but her resilience won over viewers at home. Hale was villainized, falsely accused of weaponizing others’ mental health, and constantly insulted by fellow houseguests. However, her responses were filled with grace and kindness through all of these challenges.
from day 2 to day 82… the BEST underdog story in big brother HISTORY. She overcame bullying, racism and a whole lot of other crap and STILL took the crown!!

On Monday, Taylor sat down with the host of The Talk to reflect on her experience in Big Brother and what this win means to her. She states, “It’s no secret I was bullied and harassed, verbally abused in the house from my early days, and it was very difficult.” Despite those hardships, she believes, “I can trust myself. I am powerful. I am the person I expected to be, and the world saw it.”
Taylor walked into the Big Brother house with all odds stacked against her and proved that kindness wins. She states in her speech, “I am not a shield, I am a sword. I am not a victim; I am a victor.” It was inspiring to watch Taylor’s journey, and fans are excited to see what’s next for the star.
