Steve Martin and Martin Short to Host New SNL With Musical Guest Brandi Carlile
Saturday Night Live unveiled its final shows for the year. On December 10, Only Murders in the Building co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short will be co-hosting SNL together featuring the incredible Brandi Carlile as the musical guest.
Steve Martin and Martin Short are joining forces live from New York. Both actors are no strangers to this iconic show. Martin has hosted SNL a whopping 15 times and has guested 19 times, including two appearances this year. In addition, Short was a cast member of the show in 1984-85 and has hosted three times before, as well as numerous cameos.

Brandi Carlile, the comedy’s special musical guest, is returning for a second time. The “Right on Time” singer expressed her excitement, writing, “I would fly to New York City just to witness this from the audience. But instead, I get to sing my songs on my favorite show.”
Carlile made her SNL debut on October 23, 2021. She performed “Right on Time” and “Broken Horses,” two hit songs from her seventh studio album, In These Silent Days.
The “Stay Gentle” singer continues to keep herself busy. After wrapping her Beyond These Silent Days Tour, she announced Brandi Carlile’s Mothership Weekend (May 12-14). She will also serve as a special guest at P!nk’s Summer Carnival 2023 tour.
More recently, Carlile helped induct Dolly Parton into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, sharing a duet with P!nk. She also performed a beautiful rendition of “Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me” with Elton John during his final show at Dodger Stadium.
Saturday Night Live promises to have an epic show on December 10. SNL will air on NBC at 11:30 ET/PT. In the meantime, fans can stream Carlile’s latest record In These Silent Days on all major music platforms.
