Golden Globes Announces Their New List of Star-Studded Presenters
The first group of presenters has been released for this year’s Golden Globe Awards. From Jamie Lee Curtis to Ana de Armas, we will see world-class actors awarding Hollywood’s notable accomplishments.
The Golden Globe Awards have been running for 80 years, celebrating decades of success and growth in the film and TV industries. Across 27 categories, the Golden Globe Awards recognizes outstanding Hollywood achievements every year.
Many presenters are also nominees themselves. Jamie Lee Curtis (Halloween Ends) is in the mix for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture for her outstanding work in Everything Everywhere All At Once. Niecy Nash’s role in Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story is up for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Limited Series, Anthology Series, or Motion Picture Made for Television. Finally, for her role in Blonde, Ana de Armas is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama.
Brendan Fraser, whose acting in The Whale is nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama, will not be attending the awards. In 2003, the now-former Golden Globe president, Philip Berk assaulted the actor. Fraser now rightfully chooses not to participate in the awards.
Nominees are usually selected by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), but this year has a new addition. Along with 96 members of the HFPA, an additional 103 international voters participated in the selection process, which is a first for the Golden Globes.
There is a ton of new content to watch, so the Golden Globes has a huge variety of performances to vote for. There are 41 first-time nominees this year. The complete list of nominees can be found here.
We are looking forward to watching all-time favorite actors shine a light on the up-and-coming products of Hollywood. Tune into the Golden Globe Awards on NBC or Peacock on Tuesday, January 10 at 8:00 pm EST to see what will be coined as Hollywood’s best this year.
