Watch New Plane Trailer Starring Gerard Butler and Mike Colter

Plane is an action-thriller film about a pilot forced to land his airplane during a lightning storm directed by Jean-François Richet. Gerard Butler (300) stars as the courageous pilot, Brodie Torrance, and Mike Colter (Luke Cage) embodies Torrance’s fugitive passenger, Louis Gaspare.

There is no shortage of plane movies in the realm of cinema. From David R. Ellis’ absurd Snakes on a Plane, John Breen’s 3 Days 2 Nights to James Strong’s film based on the Munich tragedy, United, they have depicted the worst-case scenarios that can happen on a plane. Richet’s upcoming film, Plane, is no different.

Lionsgate dropped a new trailer for the “white-knuckled” movie on January 4. This new trailer introduces Gaspare, a criminal convicted of murder, as part of a fugitive extradition, who is being flown by Torrance, the plane’s pilot.

The plot begins when an unlikely storm causes the plane to lose its engine and altitude causing the passengers to panic.

As Torrance lands the plane successfully on a war-torn island, the surviving passengers get kidnapped by dangerous rebels. However, just as things turn dire for the pilot, he looks to Gaspare to ensure the safety of his passengers. As a result, Torrance realizes there’s more to the convicted criminal than he thought.

Known for his roles in Zack Snyder’s 300 and Felix Gary Gray’s film, Law Abiding Citizen, Gerard Butler stars in another action-packed role as Brodie Torrance in Plane. Luke Cage actor, Mike Colter, joins the Plane cast as Torrance’s last hope for the passengers’ survival, Louis Gaspare.

In addition, Yoson An (Mulan), Daniella Pineda (Jurassic World Dominion), Paul Ben-Victor (The Irishman), and Remi Adeleke (6 Underground) will also showcase their acting chops in the new film.
