Peyton List Is Dying to Know the Truth in New Paramount+ Series School Spirits
Get ready to meet the students of the afterlife in the new Paramount+ series School Spirits. The streaming service was thrilled to announce the series at the recent Television Critics Association presentation.
School Spirits is based on the upcoming graphic novel by Megan Trinrud, Maria Nguyen, and Nate Trinrud, in which Maddie Nears (Peyton List) investigates a murder. Her murder.
In the recently released trailer, Maddie Nears wakes up and finds herself in the afterlife when she walks into the afterlife support group. While Nears tries to investigate the truth in the afterlife, her mortal peers back at school are also trying to find her and uncover the truth.
As she goes on this journey to learn what happened to her, all while adjusting to her “new normal” in afterlife high school, Maddie discovers new secrets and lies that will change everything.
Alongside Peyton List, School Spirits also features Kristian Flores (Simon Elroy), Spencer MacPherson (Xavier Baxter), Kiara Pichardo (Nicole Herrera), Sarah Yarkin (Rhonda), Nick Pugliese (Charley), Rainbow Wedell (Claire Zolinski), and Milo Manheim (Wally Clark) Fans can also expect some guest stars, including Josh Zuckerman and Maria Dizzia.
Oliver Goldstick, best known for Pretty Little Liars, will serve as the series showrunner, and Max Winkler (Cruel Summer) is set to be an executive producer with Megan Trinrud and Nate Trinrud.
The first two episodes of School Spirits will premiere on March 9, and the following eight episodes will be released weekly, exclusively on Paramount+. Check out the chilling trailer below.
