The Lemon Twigs Announce New Album, Everything Harmony
The Lemon Twigs’ new era is upon us. The Long Island brother duo released the album’s second single, “Any Time of Day” on Monday, February 13.
The Lemon Twigs celebrated the new year with a new record label and new music after two years. After completing a three-album run with 4AD Records, the brothers began their contract under Captured Tracks with the song “Corner Of My Eye.”
The band announced their fourth studio album, Everything Harmony. The second single “Any Time of Day” was released with an accompanying music video directed by Ambar Navarro.
Navarro reveals, “Any Time of Day was heavily inspired by ’60s live television performances and focused on the minimal set pieces, referencing The Carpenters, Tom Petty, and especially the Monkees’ TV Show and absurd/surreal comedy of that era.”
The duo adds, “We were hired to write material and act in an interactive TV show about an imaginary ’70s brother band… The song’s about the cyclical nature of life. Everything goes on and on. Out with the old, in with the new!”
Everything Harmony will follow their third studio album, Songs for the General Public, released in August 2020. The record will consist of thirteen tracks.
