Netflix Drops New Trailer for Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story
We are going back in time to relive the romance, the balls, the dames, and the splendid castles from when Queen Charlotte was the diamond of the season. Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is set to premiere on May 4, with India Amarteifio leading as the young Queen herself, and Corey Mylchreest as her love interest, King George III.
Golda Rosheuvel’s portrayal of the Queen is among the few historical figures featured in Bridgerton, alongside King George III and Prince Frederick of Prussia. Netflix’s Head of Global TV, Bela Bajaria, wants to expand on Queen Charlotte’s backstory, stating, “Many viewers had never known the story of Queen Charlotte before Bridgerton brought her to the world, and I’m thrilled this new series will further expand her story.”
In addition to Queen Charlotte’s enchanting story, the upcoming spinoff delves into the lives of young Violet Bridgerton and Lady Danbury. Moreover, Bridgerton Matrons Ruth Gemmell (Violet Bridgerton) and Adjoa Andoh (Lady Danbury) will be reprising their roles in this prequel. Michelle Fairley, known for her role as Catelyn Stark from HBO’s hit series Game of Thrones, will be taking on the role of Princess Augusta.
Furthermore, the new cast members for this season include Sam Clemmett, as the Young Brimsley, Cyril Nri as Lord Danbury, Freddie Dennis as Reynolds, Tunji Kasim as Adolphus, and Arsema Thomas as the young Lady Danbury.
