In her last Instagram post, it appears Kendall Jenner has a warped hand. Followers spotting this part of the image are accusing Jenner of photoshopping.

With its glamorous feed, Jenner’s Instagram shows off her beauty post after post. But there have been a few times that the celebrity has been accused of photoshopping her body.

A few months ago, people on Reddit believed Jenner was attempting to make her waist smaller in multiple photos. Now, she posts a photo in which her hand is unnaturally warped, a tell-tale sign of editing.

In the fourth picture of her Instagram slideshow, Jenner’s hand appears stretched and thinned out.

Being a supermodel is never easy, and is a profession that often enforces adhering to unrealistic beauty standards. Because of this, there is a lot of pressure from modeling agencies and the public alike to be flawless. In turn, models face insecurities all of the time, even if it’s behind closed doors. But when someone is the beauty standard, people often think they don’t feel bad about themselves.

Others find that Kendall feeling the need to edit her body is upsetting, especially because she already fits what society deems perfect. In the age of social media, it can be hard to not compare ourselves to what we see online.

At the end of the day, social media is a facade, and instances like this prove it. Photos, and even videos, can be tailored to perfection. And once they are posted, an artificial image is brought into the world under the guise of authenticity.

Without a doubt, there needs to be a more open and honest conversation about photoshopping. Whether warped edits are on Kendall Jenner’s Instagram or your best friend’s, followers see these images and often strive to achieve something unrealistic. There is nothing wrong with touching up a photo, but honesty should come alongside doing so.
