New Recall, 300k Starbucks Frappuccino Glass Bottles Pulled, Fragments Found
Over 300,000 Starbucks vanilla frappuccino glass bottles have been pulled off the shelves after fragments have been found.
With over 25,000 cases of reported glass discovered in the popular beverage, distributor Pepsico Inc. recalled over 300,000 beverages. The 13.7-ounce Starbucks Vanilla frappuccino bottles with expiration dates of March 8, May 29, June 4, and 10 of this year have been contaminated. According to the Food and Drug Administration, this concern was labeled as a Class II recall where “a situation in which use of or exposure to a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote.”
Imagine somebody pouring it over ice and not realizing that there was glass in there. Horrible. Apparently the recall had been going since January 28th but I hadn’t seen it in the industry newsletters that I get.

The recall began on January 28 and continues to remove these bottles from the shelves. “The removal of these products from the marketplace is currently underway. The products are not sold at Starbucks retail locations,” the FDA explained in a statement.
