Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds Have Welcomed a New Baby
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds welcomed their fourth child into the world over the weekend.
Lively posed in an Instagram post on Super Bowl Sunday, showing a noticeable lack of baby bump. Though the baby’s name and sex have not been disclosed, Reynolds reported that “everybody’s doing great” in an interview with CNBC on Monday.
Lively and Reynolds are also parents to three girls, whose ages range from 3 to 8 years old. The couple married in 2012, welcoming their first child just over two years later. In the same CNBC interview, when asked how the new baby is doing, Reynolds responded, “We’re very excited. We wouldn’t do this four times if we didn’t love it.” He further joked that their home felt like a “zoo” now as a family of six.

Reynolds and Lively are keeping details about the baby private as of now, but both parents have spoken positively about their experiences with having daughters. In an interview with Forbes early last year, Lively stated, “I think having children for me made me feel so much more in my skin. I never felt more myself or at ease in my own body or more confident.” After the star’s fourth pregnancy was announced, Reynolds mentioned in an interview with People that he and Lively “never find out [the sex] until after” the baby is born. “I know girls, so I’m sort of kinda hoping that, but I’m ready for whatever happens,” he added.

Though the family seems to be doing well after the birth of the baby, they faced some difficulties with the paparazzi during Lively’s pregnancy.
On September 17, 2022, Lively posted several photos of her sporting a baby bump. She captioned the image, “Here are photos of me pregnant in real life so the 11 guys waiting outside my home for a 🦄 sighting will leave me alone. You freak me and my kids out.” She went on to praise media outlets that do not publish photos of children, along with the people who choose to unfollow publications that do.
An anonymous source close to the couple shared with People that “Blake and Ryan are amazing together. Ryan is a great dad…Blake is the best mom. It’s a goal for many of Blake’s friends to have what she has.”
