Damson Idris May Relocate to Trinidad, Shares New Carnival Post
British-Nigerian actor Damson Idris has revealed to his Instagram followers that he would consider moving to the Caribbean island of Trinidad.
The actor shared a clip Sunday night on his Instagram story in which he praises the island, where their annual carnival is currently taking place.
In the short clip, Idris states “Absolutely love it here…Need a Trini realtor, about to buy a crib here. Food tastes good, drink tastes good, even the air tastes good.” Although he complains about the mosquitos there, he finds that the island has “positive vibes.”

Idris is not the only one who is loving the island. Dubbed “The Greatest Show On Earth,” the Trinidad and Tobago Carnival is back after a 3-year hiatus due to COVID. The last carnival took place in January 2020, a month before the COVID-19 pandemic was officially declared by the World Health Organization. This year, the festival lasts for two days, on February 20 and February 21. The festival takes place on the Monday and Tuesday before Ash Wednesday, a holy day of prayer and fasting that falls on the first day of the Lent season.
Besides Trinidad’s beautiful atmosphere, Idris has a lot to look forward to. He is in a new relationship with Lori Harvey, who he went Instagram official with in January. They also made their red carpet debut on February 15, at the premiere of the final season of Snowfall, the crime drama TV series which Idris currently stars in.
The show is set in 1983 and is about the first crack epidemic and how it had an impact on the city of Los Angeles. Idris will also have a role in an upcoming horror thriller series called Swarm. The show’s creator is Donald Glover, who also makes music under his stage name Childish Gambino. Idris will star alongside the American singer Chloe Bailey, with Dominique Fishback in the leading role. It will debut on Amazon Prime Video on March 17. In the meantime, Snowfall is available to stream on Hulu.
