Miley Cyrus Teases First Backyard Sessions Performance of New Album Endless Summer Vacation
Miley Cyrus teases her upcoming Disney+ special, will feature her first-ever performances for her new album, Endless Summer Vacation.
Cyrus states that the album will be divided into two different parts: an a.m. and a p.m. act. The a.m. act represents the morning time, where there’s a “buzz and an energy and there’s a potential of new possibilities, it’s a new day.”
On the other hand, p.m. has a “slinky seediness and kind of a grime but a glamor at the same time. In the evening, it’s a great time for rest, it’s a time to recover, or it’s a time to go out and experience kind of the wild side, and LA there’s a certain energy to the night that you can kind of feel trouble boil up to the surface and it’s very inspiring to me.”
Cyrus plans to release Endless Summer Vacation this Friday, March 10. It will be her eighth studio album and follow her 2020 album Plastic Hearts, which was influenced by the pop rock and glam rock genres.
The “Never Be Me” singer will be going back to her pop roots which can be heard in her latest single “Flowers.” Since the hit track is a pop song with disco and funk influences, we can expect more pop songs on the upcoming album. Endless Summer Vacation will also feature collaborations with Brandi Carlile and Sia.
Cyrus’s long-running Backyards Sessions series will be coming back for a Disney+ special called Miley Cyrus – Endless Summer Vacation (Backyard Sessions) which will be released on March 10 along with the album. In the special, she will play tracks from the album as well as a collaboration with Rufus Wainwright and a performance of “The Climb” from 2009’s Hannah Montana: The Movie.
