Lana Del Rey looked incredible on the cover of the latest issue of Rolling Stone UK, where she shared personal and musical updates in an intimate interview.

The international star posed for the cover, exuding her iconic dark Americana aesthetic with a sultry look in her eyes. The legendary singer/songwriter wore a Beyond Retro denim jacket and jewelry from Pawnshop London. The full spread for this issue was photographed by Del Rey’s sister, Chuck Grant, and styled by Joseph Kocharian, who used several of the singer’s own pieces from her personal closet for the shoot.

With the release of her newest albumDid you know that there’s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd, approaching, Del Rey got personal in her cover interview, looking back on the career that lead her to this monumental point.

In speaking with Rolling Stone UK, Del Rey discussed her persistent lack of excitement about music since the release of her debut album, Born To Die, in 2012. The singer explained the impact that the harsh reviews of the album had on her creative drive, sharing, “Having such a heavy critique makes it harder to progress in a cheerful way.”

Over ten years later, Del Rey has finally rediscovered her passion for music, and Did you know that there’s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd appears to be a product of that renewed enthusiasm. The album’s producer, and Del Rey’s close friend, Jack Antonoff, described the album’s effect as, “You have a weird whiplash of not knowing what you’re supposed to feel… That sensation is across the album.”

Since the announcement of her ninth studio album, the internet is buzzing with excitement. The project’s recently released single, “A&W,” dropped on Valentine’s Day and prompted an immediate outpour of support from the artist’s loyal fan base.

At the end of her interview with Rolling Stone UK, Del Rey stated, “I’m just really happy that I pushed through all those turbulent times that were sometimes brought upon by myself and sometimes were suppressed onto me by other people and things to the point that I’m just so lucky that my heart isn’t fragmented all over the world, bits of it with other people who it doesn’t belong to, that my head is clear enough to not have my self-will run riot all the time.”

Whether it’s her radiating newfound joy or the experimental direction of her latest music, it feels as though Lana Del Rey has reached a reckoning point in her career, and fans can’t wait to see what she does next.
