Their anger sears through them in the following days, and they are both out for revenge. What starts as a few minutes in their cars invades their lives and relationships. The series will premiere on April 6 on Netflix.

The first trailer for Beef came out on March 15. Set to the rock sounds of “Today” by The Smashing Pumpkins, the anger of the leads comes clear across the screen. Danny is living a simple working-class life, and Amy is living a life of glamor. It showcases how their lives deteriorate after the road rage incident, but their lives might not have been so perfect before.

The trailer also has appearances by supporting cast members, such as David Choe (The Mandalorian), Ashley Park (Emily in Paris), Joseph Lee (Searching), Maria Bello (A History of Violence), Young Mazino (Glass), and Patti Yasutake (Star Trek: Generations). There are some comedic elements, but the trailer reveals the series will get intense.

On the same day of the trailer’s release, Netflix unveiled the official poster for Beef. It is a cartoon drawing of the characters Danny and Amy. The poster has the two facing each other with angry expressions. They are also placed on two separate middle fingers, looking like finger puppets. This was a vibrant artistic choice to display the childlike yet infuriating nature of their anger.

In 2018, Wong had her second stand-up special, Hard Knock Wife, where she was again seven months pregnant.

When it comes to acting, From 2016 to 2021, she had a lead role on the sitcom American Housewife. In 2019, Wong starred in the Netflix rom-com Always Be My Maybe opposite Randall Park. From 2019 to 2022, she starred in the adult animated series Tuca and Bertie. Beef will be slightly different from Wong’s previous work, but it will surely showcase her acting abilities.
