Disney Releases Trailer and Premiere Date for Marvel’s Secret Invasion
Disney just released the trailer and premiere date for Marvel Studio’s Secret Invasion.
The new key art and trailer for Marvel Studios’ espionage series Secret Invasion debuted during ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball.
The new series is set in the present-day MCU. Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) learns of another invasion of Earth by a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls. This is not Fury’s first face-off with the Skrulls, as he and Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) battled them for the asylum of their people in Captain Marvel.
Fury is joined by his allies Everett Ross (Martin Freeman), known for his roles in the Black Panther films and Captain America: Civil War, and Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders), known for her roles in the Avengers saga. The Skrull Talos, who collaborated with Captain Marvel to save the Skrulls, will also make his return. All of these returning Marvel characters will race against time to save humanity from this Skrull invasion.
With Marvel’s Secret Invasion coming in June, I have to wonder if the series will be as creepy/unnerving as the original comics were. These creepy “Embrace Change” images were added throughout the original comics instead of the typical “ads” you would see. pic.twitter.com/m2Ky34zolg

Secret Invasion features the return of Samuel L. Jackson, Martin Freeman, Cobie Smulders, and Don Cheadle (James “Rhodey” Rhodes). The series also stars Ben Mendelsohn, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Charlayne Woodard, Killian Scott, Samuel Adewunmi, Dermot Mulroney, Christopher McDonald, Katie Finneran, Emilia Clarke, and Olivia Colman.
Ali Selim is the director and executive producer. Fellow executive producers include Kevin Feige, Jonathan Schwartz, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Samuel L. Jackson, Ali Selim, Kyle Bradstreet, and Brian Tucker. Kyle Bradstreet is also the head writer, and Jennifer L. Booth, Allana Williams, and Brant Englestein serve as co-executive producers.
Ever since Avengers: Endgame, Marvel has made a switch to producing series as much as they produce films, which some fans are not happy about. Some say films would be a better choice for certain stories, including Secret Invasion.
Wish this was a movie
