The “Watercolor Eyes” singer has received unanimous praise for the project, with many critics citing it as her best work thus far. In a Gigwise review, Lucy Harbon called the album Del Rey’s “magnum opus” and praised her confessional storytelling. For NME, Rhian Daly remarked that the album “cements Del Rey’s status as one of modern music’s most intriguing songwriters.”
Likewise, fans have immediately taken to the album and have celebrated it as a part of Del Rey’s wonderfully crafted discography.
Lana Del Rey’s new album feels like it came straight out of her diary. I don’t tweet about it a lot because it’s extremely personal. It’s not like her other albums. It’s not an album I vibe to, it’s more like a book I’m reading. It’s a lot to take in. She went deep with this one.

The songstress released three singles leading up to the album’s release: the title track, “A&W,” and “The Grants.” Each of the singles earned critical acclaim, earning high remarks for their production and introspective storytelling. Nearly a decade and a half into her career, Del Rey still manages to release breathtaking music.
Given the album’s reception, it is no wonder why the Billboard Women in Music Awards honored her with their 2023 Visionary Award. Presenting the award, Olivia Rodrigo gave Del Rey high regards, “Lana has raised an entire generation of music lovers and songwriters like me and taught them that there’s beauty in their vulnerability and power in their melancholy.” In her acceptance speech, Del Rey shared her plans for the future: “I feel like being happy is the ultimate goal. So I did it. Thank you, Billboard!”
On June 9, Del Rey’s father, Rob Grant, will release his own album, Lost at Sea (2023). The album will feature the singer/songwriter herself on various tracks. Given the music Del Rey releases, we are sure that talent runs in the family. While fans wait for the release, they can listen to her most recent single down below.
