Anne Hathaway is The New Face of Versace
Anne Hathaway is the latest muse of the luxury Italian clothing brand Versace. Hathaway took to Instagram to show her first few shots of the new Icons collection campaign.
We don’t know about Prada, but the devil is definitely wearing Versace now. After being a frequent front-row guest at fashion shows, Anne Hathaway is definitely bringing her A-game when it comes to her absolutely chic style.
Erin Walsh, her new stylist, talks about the actress isn’t afraid to experiment, which helps them make stellar fashion choices. According to Walsh, Anne’s confidence is also the reason she’s glowing when she mentions it “doesn’t just come from clothes. It comes through stepping into your potential and embracing possibilities.”
This new-found charisma, in addition to her impeccable style, is what caught Donatella Versace’s eyes. The designer “admired Anne because she is an extraordinary artist with a strong point of view about her career. She is a woman after [her] own heart.” Anne perfectly fits the image of a Versace woman “she’s a little bit dangerous,” the designer mentions in a behind-the-scenes video taken on the set of the campaign shoot. “Dangerous but sexy.”
Donatella’s vision for the campaign was all about classy, timeless pieces that scream strong, confident women.” I am thrilled to be launching the Versace Icons collection; this is very personal to me,” Donatella mentions. “The multi-faceted and inspirational women we dress talk about how Versace makes them feel: considered, confident and stunning.”
Anne models signature Versace pieces like the structured corset, a shimmery mini, and a black jersey dress with their iconic Medusa medallion detailing stamped on the straps. According to Vogue, it was the Spring ‘96 Atelier Versace collection that inspired the Icons collection.
Hathaway describes the Versace Icons collection as “timeless elegance with an edge. I’m so proud of these images, which seem to represent Donatella’s vision of empowerment.”
The Icons collection is now available to shop online and in stores now. If you love the idea and the stunning pieces of this campaign, you can shop Anne’s looks from the Icons collection here.
