Kim Kardashian to Join New American Horror Story Season
Kim Kardashian will join Emma Roberts in the upcoming season 12 of American Horror Story, entitled Delicate.
Kim Kardashian will be the newest cast member on American Horror Story (AHS). Co-creator Ryan Murphy was reportedly impressed by Kim Kardashian’s hosting on Saturday Night Live in 2021. After watching her performance, he began negotiating a part with her in the summer of 2022. Kardashian is set to star alongside AHS icon Emma Roberts.
Though Kardashian has made appearances in other roles, such as the film Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor and Disaster Movie, this is her first high-profile role. Fans remain divided, but the series’ cult-like following, combined with Kardashian’s status, promises an unforgettable season.
The celebrity initially teased her involvement in a creepy Instagram teaser earlier Monday.
In a statement made to The Hollywood Reporter, Murphy praised Kardashian. “Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world and we are thrilled to welcome her to the AHS family. Emma and I are excited about collaborating with this true force in the culture,” he told them.
Kardashian isn’t the only pop-culture celebrity the series has collaborated with. Famously, Lady Gaga starred in AHS: Hotel in her iconic role as The Countess. Other guest stars include Billy Porter, Stevie Nicks, and Naomi Campbell.
Fans were also excited to know that Emma Roberts would return to the series. Because other stars such as Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson have definitively left, fans were anxious about which pillars of the series would remain. Fortunately, Roberts continues collaborating with Murphy and was confirmed to be in the newest season alongside Kardashian. One fan even called Roberts “the queen of AHS” on Twitter.

Although past seasons of the series have involved characters and events based on existing legends and people, this will be the first season that is based on actual source material. AHS will be based on the upcoming book Delicate Condition by Danielle Valentine. According to the novel’s description, it will follow “a woman convinced a sinister figure is going to great lengths to make sure her pregnancy never happens—while the men in her life refuse to believe a word she says.” The novel has been compared to Rosemary’s Baby.
The buzz surrounding AHS will only grow as more information is revealed. Although there is not yet a confirmed release date, fans can stream the series on Hulu this summer.
