This just made my day
And Just Like That follows Sarah Jessica Parker as her iconic Sex and the City character, Carrie Bradshaw, navigating a new stage of life with the same friends by her side. The first season of the sequel series revealed plenty of changes in the characters’ lives since the original series and its subsequent feature films.
Perhaps one of the most notable changes in Bradshaw’s life is the loss of her long-time love interest, and eventual husband, Mr. Big. The season one finale featured Carrie spreading Mr. Big’s ashes in Paris, on the bridge they reunited on in the Sex and the City finale many years prior.
The first season followed some of Carrie’s steamy love affairs with new characters. However, the first-look trailer promises the return of an old favorite, Aidan Shaw (John Corbett). In the last few seconds of the trailer, Sarah Jessica Parker delivers a voiceover as Carrie, stating, “And just like that, I realized some things are better left in the past. But maybe not everything.”
Corbett then comes into the frame as Aidan Shaw, Carrie’s former flame, gazing up at her on her doorstep. The return of Corbett’s beloved character has been anticipated by fans ever since photos of the two actors on set together were released. Despite prior knowledge, fans are still excited to get an official look at the two characters together so many years later.

Although the beloved Samantha (Kim Cattrall) remains missing based on the recent trailer, the other two members of Carrie’s iconic friend group, Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), have plenty of drama to go around. As Charlotte deals with the ups and downs of parenting, Miranda continues a romance sparked in season one with a new character, Che (Sara Ramirez).
Needless to say, this trailer provides a look at the endless surprises season two of And Just Like That has to offer. Watch the full first look below to prepare for the series’ official return this summer.
