Ice Spice Dazzles in Balmain at Her First Met Gala
Invited by Anna Wintour as a special guest for Vogue, Ice Spice made her first appearance at the Met Gala, wearing a custom Balmain piece.
Ice Spice only started releasing music recently, with her first single, “Bully Freestyle,” which came out in 2021. But in the past few months, the up-and-coming rapper has been gaining a ton of popularity. From joining PinkPantheress for “Boy’s a liar Pt. 2” to tracks like “Gangsta Boo (with Lil Tjay)” going viral on social media, Ice Spice is rapidly climbing the ladder of the music industry. Now, before even releasing her first album, Ice Spice is attending the Met Gala.

Strutting in a custom Balmain dress, Ice Spice looks incredible for this Met Gala debut. The artist states her dress “was super last minute,” but even so, it’s nothing short of beautiful. The skintight white gown has mesh cutout linings and glimmering gems from head to toe. Matching the outfit, Ice Spice accessorizes with a bejeweled camera allowing her to capture the night’s memories. She looks striking, pairing elegance and glamour together.
Fans are extremely proud of the way Ice Spice has made it so far in her career in such a short amount of time. The artist doesn’t listen to any doubts about her ability and continues to impress, and because of this, we see her achieving milestones every day. With only an EP and a few singles in her discography, Ice Spice is hitting the charts. Her name appears three times on the Billboard Hot 100, and she is already in the top 10 for “Boy’s a liar Pt. 2.”
