Halle Bailey Stuns at The Little Mermaid World Premiere

On May 8, Halle Bailey showed up to the world premiere of Disney’s The Little Mermaid (2023) in an absolutely stunning look.

As the film’s star, Bailey knew that she had to wear something show-stopping- and she did. Wearing a custom Valdrin Sahiti teal gown, she shimmered as she walked down the carpet and posed for photos. The dress featured a plunging neckline and a bust that resembled sea shells- a fantastic reference to her character’s aquatic design in the film.

Given how much of a statement the dress made, the performer kept everything else simple and chic. For makeup, she added metallic eyeshadow and a gorgeous nude lip. Her jewelry consisted of dreamy diamond earrings and an assortment of silver rings. To top it all off, she matched her nails to her dress.

The premiere took place in Hollywood, at the famous Dolby Theater. The cast, crew, and celebrity guests attended to celebrate the film’s upcoming release. Chlöe Bailey, Melissa McCarthy, and Simone Ashley are just some of the other notable stars who walked the carpet.

The Little Mermaid will be a live-action reimagining of the beloved animated film that was released in 1989. Of course, Halle Bailey portrays Ariel in the film. In addition, other big-name celebrities help round out the cast: McCarthy embodies Ursula, Ashley stars as Indira, Jonah Hauer-King is Prince Eric, Javier Bardem is King Triton, and Daveed Diggs is Sebastian.

The anticipation for the upcoming film has been immense. It was announced that the film will not merely be a shot-for-shot adaptation of the original classic. The film has been adapted for modern audiences, with song lyrics even getting an update.
