On May 18, news broke that Lana Del Rey will officially drop her unreleased, fan-favorite song, “Say Yes To Heaven,” which will be released the next day.

Fans of the Grammy-nominated artist have much to be excited about. Since “Say Yes To Heaven” leaked online years ago, it quickly became a beloved unreleased track. Tomorrow, the song will be officially released, and fans can finally listen to it on all streaming platforms.

Fans quickly shared their excitement on social media.

“Say Yes To Heaven” is adored for its relaxing, soft melody and emotionally touching lyrics. In the song, the singer/songwriter confesses her love for someone and fantasizes about the possibilities of their potential romance. One of the most notable lyrics reads, “Give peace a chance/ Let the fear you have fall away.”

The song’s official release is among many by the artist this year. Earlier this March, Del Rey released her ninth studio album, Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd (2023). The 16-track body of work was a commercial success, debuting at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart, earning rave reviews.

The album was preceded by three singles that doubled down on Del Rey’s musical and lyrical talents: the title track, “A&W,” and “The Grants.” The first tune explores her fear of fading into obscurity as she urges fans to remember her and her work- comparing it to how many have forgotten the “tunnel under ocean blvd.”

“A&W,” also known as “American Wh*re,” is one of Del Rey’s most experimental tracks, as she combines folk, trap, and pop elements over its seven-minute run. Lyrically, she discusses her experience in society as a woman, specifically as a female artist.

Meanwhile, “The Grants” references the performer’s family name and sees Del Rey question what will happen after she passes.

2023 has been a celebratory year for the performer. Also, in March, Del Rey accepted the Billboard Women in Music’s Visionary Award and reportedly got engaged. We cannot wait to see what else the year has in store for her. To stay updated on the singer, click here.
