Dominic Fike Releases the Official Teaser for His New Album Sunburn
Dominic Fike just unveiled the title and teaser for his upcoming album, Sunburn, and fans can’t wait to see what the musician has in store.
On Thursday, Fike shared the teaser video on Instagram with the simple caption, “My album is called Sunburn.”
The video opens with a shot of Fike’s reflection in a small puddle of water in the sand. As the music builds, it cuts to shots of waves crashing on the shore with a muted red filter. Finally, Fike comes into frame, the camera following him from behind in a bright blue hoodie that pops against the hazy red background.
In the minute-and-a-half-long teaser, Fike raps about his birthplace in Florida. He also asserts that he has remained focused on his music over the years with the lyrics, “I’m on this music,” repeated throughout the retelling of his difficult childhood.
As the teaser comes to a close, the musician falls backward into a hole in the sand as quick clips of various insects flash on the screen. The video ends as the waves continue to calmly lap on the shore.
Celebrities and fans quickly took to the comments to celebrate. Fellow rising star, Role Model, commented, “Oh boy,” while another user wrote, “Album of the summer.”

This will be the second album from the star, following the overwhelming praise he received for his recent concert at the Coachella. In April, Fike took to the iconic festival’s stage for the first time and garnered resounding praise from big names in music for his impressive performance.
Following his concert, Drake posted, “@dominicfike bodying his set.” Jisoo, who headlined the festival with her fellow BLACKPINK members also posted his set on her Instagram story. About his performance, Rolling Stone wrote, “Fike performed with a natural ease and endless chill, but his talent jumped out every time he took the mic, his voice gritty and emotive.”

Two days prior to his first Coachella set, the multi-faceted artist released his first single from his new album, “Dancing In The Courthouse.” The single pays tribute to his earlier years growing up in Florida and details his various run-ins with the law.
Coming off of an electric Coachella set and the release of his brand new hit single, Fike is poised to enter a brand new era with Sunburn and fans are more excited than ever.
