Taylor Swift’s New Relationship With Matt Healy Is Disappointing Swifties
Taylor Swift may have some “bad blood” with her own fans. Fans do not approve of her possible new boyfriend, The 1975’s Matt Healy. They may have some valid reasons.
Rumors have been circulating about Swift dating Healy in the middle of Swift’s huge Eras Tour which was right after her breakup with actor Joe Alwyn. While Healy and his band have been famous for many years with sold-out tours, the singer is under hot water. His past choices and beliefs have been resurfacing now that he is dating Swift which does not make either of them look good.

One of Healy’s shameful stories cannot even use the “it was so long ago” excuse. Three months ago, Healy was on The Adam Friedland Show podcast, where he told a story about watching pornography from Ghetto Gaggers. This company specializes in the brutalization and humiliation of women of color. The specific porn was not the focus of the anecdote, but the way he talked about getting off on this type of porn rubbed many people the wrong way.
On the same podcast, Healy and the hosts talked about Ice Spice and laughed about her being a “Chubby Chinese lady” and “a f*cking Eskimo” while also doing racist accents. All podcast apps have since deleted the podcast episode. However, it is still shocking and hurt many people.
Regardless at this point if Taylor Swift & Matt Healy are dating or if this is a PR stunt for something, he’s a well-documented bigot & all-around POS. I like Taylor and have come to love her music. This is disappointing & a real fuck you to a lot of her fans

The podcast is not the only example of Healy’s racist behavior. Back in January, he expressed some inappropriate behavior at a concert that disappointed people. During his 2018 song “Love It If We Made It,” Healy did a march and a Nazi salute. This incident was during the song lyric, “Thank you, Kanye, very cool,” with the action making fun of recent statements and actions by Kanye West. While Healy meant for the action to be satirical, the fact that he did it at all was offensive to many people due to the seriousness of what that action represents.

While Healy and Swift are supposedly in a relationship now, he was not always so prone to the idea. There were rumors that the two were dating in 2014. In response, “It’s just interesting to me how interested the world is about Taylor Swift,” he expressed, “The reason I mention that is because if I had [properly] gone out with Taylor Swift, I would’ve been, ‘F–king hell, I am not being Taylor Swift’s boyfriend.’ You know, ‘F–k. That.’ That’s also a man thing, a de-masculinating [sic], emasculating thing.” While he backtracked that comment, and changed his mind, scorning Swift is a scorn to the Swifties.

Despite these actions, and more that may not have resurfaced yet, Swift is apparently smitten with Healy. According to sources, the two are “madly in love” after only a few months of dating. The same source declared, “It’s super-early days, but it feels right.” While the pair have not officially confirmed their romance, there have been pictures of the two going out, leaving the same place together, Healy attending her concerts, and even some small photos of them kissing. However, many people are not happy for the alleged happy couple.
So when are Taylor swift fans going to admit that she is the problem. There’s no chance she doesn’t know the kind of person Matt Healy is. Y’all will never hold her accountable because y’all are also racist.

Swifties are not so quick to forgive and forget. In fact, they are starting to think less of their idol for dating The 1975 frontman. On social media, many fans have been calling her out for dating him and anyone encouraging the behavior. There are also some fans who have not been willing to accept that she and Alwyn broke up, let alone that she would date Healy. If she is dating him, it is weird to fans that she would not know about Healy’s past. Or is it something that she knows or sees that the Swifties don’t?
There may be fans that won’t forgive her, and Swift may not recognize the severity of what Healy has done/said. The love might be blinding her, or maybe this relationship says a little something about her character.
