In an exclusive of the upcoming film by Glamour, audiences get their first look at Alex and Henry from Red, White, and Royal Blue. Nicholas Galitzine stars in the role of Henry, while Taylor Zakhar Perez portrays Alex. The characters are adapted from the novel of the same name by Casey McQuiston, originally published in 2019.

Red, White, and Royal Blue went viral online shortly after publication, particularly on #BookTok. Readers rave about the book’s romance, queer representation, and spicy scenes. The novel charted on The New York Times bestseller list and NPR called it a “must-read romance.”

The movie follows Alex Claremont-Diaz, the son of the first female President of the United States, portrayed by Uma Thurman.

A feud develops when Alex meets Henry, Prince of Wales and grandson of the Queen of England. Their disagreement comes to a climax when the two are caught up in a messy row during a highly publicized event.

Alex and Henry are subsequently forced to fake a friendship for the sake of their public image and U.S.-British relations. This faux alliance forms a real bond between the two as they discover they have much in common. Their friendship soon blossoms into a passionate romance.

Drama ensues when Alex’s mother is up for re-election and Henry’s family becomes suspicious of their relationship. The two must navigate family conflict, personal struggles, and fame in front of the whole world.

The upcoming production, filmed last summer in London, is sure to give audiences their fix of romance and drama. Red, White, and Royal Blue will be available to stream on Prime Video on August 11.
