Orange Is the New Black star, Uzo Aduba, revealed her baby bump at the 2023 Tony Awards in a bright orange Christian Siriano suit.

Known for her role as Suzanne “Crazy Eyes” Warren on the hit Netflix series Orange Is the New Black, the actress is expecting her first baby with husband and filmmaker Robert Sweeting. The couple tied the knot with a secret ceremony in 2020 and went public with a marriage announcement in 2021. Although the couple tends to keep their relationship relatively private, the two were seen posing for photographers at the 2023 Tony Awards upon revealing the exciting news.

Aduba proudly wore an unbuttoned bright orange Christian Siriano suit on the red carpet, revealing her baby bump. Her look was completed with accessories from David Webb jewels, Alexandre Birman shoes, and a Judith Leiber clutch purse. Instagram followers of the actress were granted early access to the news with a post just hours before the show. Her post included a video of the new mom-to-be holding a white infant-sized onesie, with a caption detailing the couple’s excitement regarding the arrival of their little one.

According to PEOPLE magazine, an inside source confirmed the news with a statement regarding how the “happy couple is over the moon about their growing family.” The baby will be the couple’s first and Aduba has certainly made it clear that motherhood is important to her. She shared her value for not only her own mother but also acknowledged her appreciation for all mothers on Instagram during past Mother’s Day.

Even with preparations for the new baby underway, Aduba remains busy as her acting career will continue in Painkiller, Providence, Clybourne Park, and other opportunities. Regardless, the couple is eager to welcome their bundle of joy into the world and is looking forward to growing their family.
