In Marvel Comic The Amazing Spider-Man #15 (1964) by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, Kraven the Hunter was introduced as Spiderman’s enemy and continues to serve as one in later comics and television series.
Kraven the Hunter, also known as Sergei Kravinoff, is of Russian origin. He was born in Volgograd, Russia to his cold-hearted father and mother. He grew up with his half-brother Dimitri Smerdyakov. Kraven the Hunter was taught to be merciless and not to show any weakness to others.
Kravinoff and his family are forced to move out of the country to the United Kingdom. Later on, they move to the United States after the Bolshevik Revolution, according to Marvel.
The anti-hero has abilities including enhanced strength, speed, stamina, longevity, and animal manipulation.
He also possesses an array of weapons, such as knives, guns, nets, whips, and others to hunt down his prey. Usually, though, the villain resorts to his bare hands. Some of these abilities and weapons are demonstrated in the newly released trailer.

The three-minute trailer begins to show pieces of his origin story, mainly his dark relationship with his father, the environment he grew up in, and the sad story we hear of his mother’s death. We see the creation of his alias, Kraven the Hunter.
From the trailer, viewers see that the young hunter deeply cared for his mother, stating bitterly to his father, “She died because you sent her away.”
This appears to be only the start of the dark, rocky relationship between the anti-hero and his father. Seconds later, viewers witness young Kraven being mauled by a lion, gaining his abilities and growing into his alias.
The trailer also gives the audience a peek at another villain in the making, The Rhino.
