Her supporters are speculating a change in tone in Rodrigo’s new album compared to her debut album, Sour. They are speculating this change based on the albums’ covers. Others, though, think that GUTS will be more of a “Sour 2.0,” and are not expecting a drastic shift in music style.

Additionally, the “Driver’s License” singer wrote, “I made the bulk of this album during my 19th year on this earth. A year that, for me, was filled with lots of confusion, mistakes, awkwardness, & good old fashioned teen angst,” in regards to her upcoming album.
We can expect this essence in her album as she grows more into her role as an artist.
