The “Call Me Maybe” singer has provided fans with an update about the release of her new album The Loveliest Time and fans are thrilled to see what she has in store for them.

The singer took to Twitter to reach out to fans and stated, “The loneliest time taught me that growth comes from being planted in darkness. But now the world has opened itself back up again and in turn so have we. It’s time for celebration and for all the lessons we have learned to burst into joyful action.

This indicates that the artist may be taking a different direction for her upcoming album. Many fans felt certain this was the case based on the change of tone both in the title of the album and in her announcement.

Jepsen has had fans in a chokehold since the release of “Call Me Maybe” in 2012. The song currently has over 1 billion streams on Spotify.
