In an interview with Entertainment Tonight at the Barbie Premiere, Eilish and her brother Finneas discussed the new release and how the movie itself inspired its making.
“I think we were both pretty in right away and as soon as we saw a couple of clips of [Barbie], it was over. . . like okay, we’re doing this,” Eilish stated.
Her brother continued, “It’s so touching and it made me really emotional. I think sometimes you look at something from an objective standpoint of like ‘Oh people are going to love this,’ and then when it becomes personal and it becomes ‘Oh no I love this authentically.’ That’s what we look to be involved in something like that.”
Hence, fans look forward to the inclusion of Eilish’s song on the Barbie soundtrack as the film’s release date, July 21, approaches quickly.
