Hilary Duff Sings Lizzie McGuire Track on SAG-AFTRA Picket Line
Hilary Duff is the latest to support fellow Guild members for the ongoing Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists strike.
On Monday, How I Met Your Father actress Hilary Duff delighted fans outside Paramount Studios. The Lizzie McGuire alum sang and danced along to “This Is What Dreams Are Made Of.” The pop anthem was released in 2003 for The Lizzie McGuire Movie.

Duff took to Instagram to share photos of her memorable time at the picket line outside Paramount Pictures in Los Angeles, California. She was joined by her fellow HIMYF co-star, Francia Raísa.
The Younger actress famously portrayed Lizzie McGuire and her animated character in the Disney Channel series of the same name from 2001-2004. Her character helped many fans throughout the trials and tribulations of junior high.
The series was the catalyst for Duff’s career. Lizzie was a character that she always hoped to revisit, but after years of trying to get a reboot off the ground, creative differences halted the series’ plans. Despite the crushing blow to fans, Duff wrote a lengthy Instagram post thanking the fans for their undying love and support for Lizzie McGuire.
She writes, “I want any reboot of Lizzie to be honest and authentic to who Lizzie would be today. It’s what the character deserves. We can all take a moment to mourn the amazing woman she would have been and the adventures we would have taken with her. I’m very sad, but I promise everyone tried their best and the stars just didn’t align.”
We will always love Hilary Duff and Lizzie McGuire. It is a joy to see Duff continue to return to and celebrate her Disney roots.
