Ice Spice and Nicki Minaj Enjoying Success in ‘Barbie World’
Nicki Minaj, Ice Spice, and Aqua’s “Barbie World” hit 1.4 million streams, sitting in at the number two spot on U.S. Spotify charts.
With the new Barbie movie out in theaters, all things Barbie have taken the world by storm. Minaj collaborated with Spice and Aqua, releasing “Barbie World” for the film’s soundtrack and adding to the excitement of Barbie. Bringing fanbases together, the upbeat, playful rap song continues to reach new heights on Spotify.

The song was released on June 23, almost a month before the Barbie premiere, to bring more excitement to the film’s release. Fans were ecstatic to find out that “Barbie World” was played in full in the end credits. As soon as the credits hit the screen, Minaj and Spice filled the theater with their bubbly flows.
“Barbie World” brought together two worlds of pink, combining Minaj’s “Barbz” brand with the Mattel Barbie icon. With the original and iconic “Barbie Girl” by Aqua woven throughout the modern rap song, it was sure to be a hit. Since its release, fans have had nothing but positive reviews.

This is not the first time Minaj and Spice have collaborated on music. Minaj featured on a Spice hit, “Princess Diana,” the first time the well-known star and new female rap icon brought their talents together. Since then, fans of both artists have been wanting more.
The rappers are not the only artists reaping the benefits of their involvement with Barbie. Dua Lipa acts as one of the mermaid Barbies in the film. Her track for the album, “Dance The Night,” has gained more popularity. Other artists who featured on the Barbie soundtrack included Billie Eilish, Charli XCX, Ava Max, and Lizzo.
