Latto Comes Out on Top With Jung Kook’s ‘Seven’
For the first time in her career, Latto slid into Billboard‘s Hot 100 number one spot. Her feature on “Seven” with Jung Kook catapulted her to the top.
American rapper Latto earned her top spot and shared her excitement on Instagram on July 24. She reposted a tweet with the news, stating she is “forever grateful” and thanking Jung Kook for having faith in her.

“Seven” not only soared to the top but had “the biggest streaming week for any soloist ever.” The single amassed 217.1 million streams. For Jung Kook, “Seven” marked the start of his solo music career as he ventures away from BTS.

According to Billboard, Latto’s success continues with this feature as “Seven” takes the top spot on the Global 200. The rapper’s personal best on these charts was back in April 2022 with “Big Energy,” which peaked at 32.
The live performance of “Big Energy” was up for Best Melodic Rap Performance at the 65th Grammy Awards. Latto was also nominated for Best New Artist.
Aside from the new popular single, Latto’s popular hits include “Put It On Da Floor” featuring Cardi B, “Lottery” featuring LU KALA, and her first breakout hit, “B*tch From Da Souf.” This first huge hit of Latto’s was released off of her first EP, Big Latto (2019). The 24-year-old rapper rose to fame after winning the first season of The Rap Game in 2016 and signing with RCA Records in 2020.
