Billie Eilish ‘bad guy’ Is Now Diamond-Certified
Billie Eilish continues to make history in the music industry. Her single “bad guy” has been certified Diamond, marking a huge accomplishment for the singer.
The Recording Industry Association of America has just certified Billie Eilish’s “bad guy” as Diamond. Along with the usual prestige of this award, Eilish has also become the first female artist born this century to achieve Diamond status on a single.

This announcement comes after a string of other achievements for Eilish. The “bad guy” music video currently sits at 1.2 billion views on YouTube. When the song was released, it topped the US Billboard Hot 100. At the 2020 Grammys, Eilish took home both Record of the Year and Song of the Year for the single. The singer took to Instagram to celebrate “bad guy” going Diamond, where she thanked her fans and brother.
Eilish’s hit was released in 2019 as a single on her album WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? Despite the success of her earlier works, she continues to innovate and develop her musical style. Her willingness to try new things with her music is one of the reasons she has so many fans. Most recently, the soundtrack for the new Barbie film features Eilish. Her single “What Was I Made For?” has been praised for its heartfelt lyrics by both fans and cast members.
