Ice Spice Secures Billboard‘s R&B/Hip-Hop Rookie of the Year Title

Ice Spice was recently named the 2023 R&B/Hip-Hop Rookie of the Year by Billboard. The global music scene has been undeniably captivated by Ice Spice since the release of her breakthrough track “Munch (Feelin’ You).”  

The 23-year-old Bronx sensation has established herself as a shining star, earning Billboard‘s coveted R&B/Hip-Hop Rookie of the Year.

Within a year, this budding luminary has forged a sonic identity of her own, instantly attracting the attention of heavyweights, such as Drake and Nicki Minaj. Ice Spice quickly joined forces with Minaj, not once, but twice, offering the music scene hit tracks such as “Princess Diana (Remix)” and “Barbie World.”

In addition, her creative flair manifested in collaborations with Pink Pantheress (Boy’s a Liar Pt.2) and Taylor Swift (Karma). Ice Spice has demonstrated that she possesses that elusive, sought-after artistic essence.

“I would always be on Google as a kid, looking up ‘how to be rich’ and ‘careers that pay the most.’ I was like, ‘OK, should I be a doctor? Or should I be a lawyer?’ I just wanted to make all the money,” she disclosed to Billboard. “But I did always love music. I guess it just fell into place.”

Ice Spice has stayed true to her musical path, releasing her latest deluxe EP entitled “Like…?” The EP boasts another sensational hit, “Deli.” This release tied with Nas and Hit-Boy’s “Magic 2” in the charts. Ice Spice is about to unveil her first full-length album.
