Caroline Polachek Joins Lorde for New ‘Green Light’ Duet
On Monday, Lorde brought out a special guest during her set at the Sziget Festival in Budapest, Hungary. The “Perfect Places” singer brought out none other than Caroline Polachek to perform the track, “Green Light,” off Lorde’s sophomore album, Melodrama.
Fans have green-lit the duet between Lorde and Caroline Polachek. Lorde has performed at several music festivals this summer, where she was rumored to be debuting new songs. For any fan of Lorde, that is exciting news. Despite teasing the new tracks, the “Mood Ring” singer revealed that she is just having some fun.
Lorde recently commented on a fan’s Instagram that the new songs she previewed weren’t “the start of anything” and that she “just decided to set these free from my laptop … but they’re not bad eh … beautiful and fun for fests though.”

Fans took social media by storm after Lorde took to Instagram to share stunning snaps of her swimming. She writes, “After the show we went swimming..these times are beautiful and they freak me out and there’s so much to tell you. No this is not the start of anything out there, just want u to know there’s a light on inside me .. show it to you soon.”

After Lorde released her masterpiece album, Melodrama, in 2017, fans had to wait four whole years for her third record, Solar Power, released in 2021. After wrapping the “Solar Power Tour,” Lorde appeared at various music festivals performing songs from all of her LPs.
Caroline Polachek also took four years to release a new record. The “Welcome to My Island” singer dropped her follow-up to her Pang album, released in 2019. The musician released Desire, I Want to Turn Into You on Valentine’s Day. Upon the release of her new album, she embarked on “The Spiraling Tour.”
A Caroline Polachek and Lorde duet was an incredible surprise. We hope that the powerhouse vocalists will release a collaboration one day. In the meantime, fans can watch the stunning performance below.
