As Riverdale comes to an end, many actors are speaking out about their experience working on the series. Lili Reinhart recently shared her perspective.

The internet-famous series is coming to an end after seven seasons and over 100 episodes. Riverdale came to be a popular discussion on social media, with many finding ways to poke fun at the drama television series.

Among the most famous lines to come out of the series was from Jughead (Cole Sprouse): “In case you haven’t noticed, I’m weird. I’m a weirdo. I don’t fit in. And I don’t want to fit in. Have you ever seen me without this stupid hat on? That’s weird.”

The quote became famous for how awkward and cringe-inducing it was for viewers. This is one of many well-known moments from the series.

In conversation with Vulture, Reinhart (Betty) expressed how she felt during production. She seemed to be thankful for the experience but glad it was over, stating, “We can all be happy that we had a f***ing consistent job for seven years. I could speak for probably all of us: We will never again do something that’s 100-plus episodes.”

The actress shared that it was difficult to see all of the responses to Riverdale online. Most people focused on how ridiculous the show was and made jokes out of it.

According to Reinhart, “We all want to be actors; we’re passionate about what we do. So when the absurdity of our [series] became a talking point, it was difficult.”

Though the series was widely criticized, some fans were surprised to learn how the actors felt. Many of the actors who participated in the series had a bad experience.

Another Riverdale cast member opened up about his discomfort with the series. KJ Apa, who took on the role of Archie, spoke about the many shirtless scenes he filmed.

According to Apa, “It takes a toll. Even saying that I didn’t feel comfortable I had a hard time with.”

The final episode of Riverdale will air on August 23, titled "Chapter One Hundred Thirty-Seven: Goodbye, Riverdale."
