Olivia Rodrigo: Breaking Hearts and Charts With New Album GUTS
After over two years, Olivia Rodrigo returns with her newest album, GUTS. The 20-year-old artist has continued impacting the pop world with her alternative and relatable hits.
Days after the album’s release, Rodrigo has two top 10 songs, “Vampire” and “Bad Idea Right?” Much like her first album, SOUR, Rodrigo touches on heartbreak and her struggle in relationships. Unlike the first album, she dives deeper into social issues such as body image, teenage expectations, anxieties, social awkwardness, and, of course, heartless boys.

While every song on GUTS is incredible, a few have already started to stand out amongst the rest. ‘”Get him Back!” proves an eccentric and fun story of her relationship with an ex. From the witty lyrics to the loud instruments that follow, the song will certainly make an impact. Following, “Vampire” gives fans a similar thrill to the artist’s earlier song “Drivers License.” The strong vocals and emotional drive seen in “Vampire” make the song a true hit. “Vampire” successfully kicked off the new album with a bang.
