Taylor Swift had a monumental night at the 2023 MTV VMAs. With eleven nominations, Taylor Swift entered the night with the most nominations this year.

The event, held at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, marked Swift’s incredible year from its very beginning. Sweeping the awards, she secured nine victories, including the prestigious Video of the Year for “Anti-Hero.”

Swift made a stunning entrance at the event, donning a sultry, black Versace gown. The halter dress featured gold buttons and a daring thigh-high slit, perfectly complemented by strappy heels and a tasseled up-do. The singer completed the outfit with layered necklaces and various other pieces of jewelry, including a stunning onyx and diamond ring by the renowned jeweler Van Cleef & Arpels. In the spirit of “The Eras Tour,” her ensemble effortlessly mirrored the aesthetic of her iconic Reputation era.

Upon accepting her Best Pop Video VMA from NSYNC, the audience witnessed an adorable fan-girl moment. Lance Bass, a member from NSYNC, handed Swift a beaded friendship bracelet. After inquiring about the band’s current projects, Swift praised them, stating, “You’re pop personified, so to receive this from your golden pop hands is truly…”

Swift also shared a moment with presenters Nelly Furtado and Timbaland, who are back collaborating on new music together. They presented her with the Song of the Year award, and Swift couldn’t have been happier.

Amidst Taylor Swift’s star-studded moments at the award show, viewers were treated to what seemed like a candid girl talk between her and “Karma (Remix)” collaborator, Ice Spice, who won Best New Artist.

Swift was also captured showing her support for her longtime bestie, Selena Gomez, as Rema and Selena accepted the award for Best Afrobeat Song, “Calm Down.”

In true Taylor fashion, her victories elevated her to the position of the second-most awarded artist in the show’s history. Additionally, she achieved a tie for the most wins in one night.

Swift’s impressive haul for the evening encompassed numerous categories, including Artist of the Year, Video of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, Pop Video of the Year, Best Direction, Best Cinematography, and Best Visual Effects.
