Taylor Swift recently unlocked the 1989 (Taylor’s Version) Vault, sharing five new song titles.

Swifties, the moment we’ve all been waiting for, is finally here. Taylor Swift is taking us back to the iconic era of 1989. After keeping us in suspense by dropping hints, our pop queen announced on August 9 that she would be releasing 1989 (Taylor’s Version) on October 27.

Swift made the re-recording announcement during her last performance in Los Angeles during her successful show, The Eras Tour. As captured in a fan’s video, she started her acoustic set by expressing her gratitude to the audience for creating a safe environment throughout the tour. Swift highlighted some of her recent wardrobe choices for the tour, including the blue dresses she wore for the Folklore and Speak Now segments.

Swift is known for incorporating hidden messages or “Easter eggs” in her attire choices, and it’s evident that these new dresses serve a deliberate purpose for both the tour and the message she wishes to share.

As she revealed the news of the re-recording, Swift stated, “There’s something I’ve been doing for a ridiculously, embarrassingly long time. I think instead of telling you about it, I’ll just sort of show you,” turning to reveal the new cover of 1989 (Taylor’s Version) on the screen behind her. With excitement, she mentioned that the album is scheduled for release on October 27, just nine years after its initial release in 2014.

After the concert, Swift dropped the bombshell on Instagram. “Surprise!! 1989 (Taylor’s Version) is on its way to you soon!” she teased, revealing a sneak peek of the album cover. The retro polaroid-style artwork showed Swift smiling against a vibrant blue sky with birds. She stated, “To be perfectly honest, this is my most FAVORITE re-record I’ve ever done because the 5 From The Vault tracks are so insane. I can’t believe they were ever left behind. But not for long!”

This will be Taylor’s fourth re-recording. After releasing Speak Now on July 7, Swifties everywhere were excited for the iconic 1989 album. Still, Reputation from 2017 and the OG self-titled debut album, Taylor Swift, from 2006 are also on the re-recording list. The detective Swifties are working to predict the release dates, but Taylor continues to keep us guessing for now.

Breaking into the vault of surprises, Swift revealed “From the Vault” song titles on September 20, with a great 33-million-word puzzle that started popping up when you Googled Taylor Swift in mid-September. Swifties figured it out and opened up the vault, revealing four exciting song titles. Taylor then took to Instagram to unveil the entire tracklist, including five new songs:

“Sl*t!”

“Say Don’t Go”

“Now That We Don’t Talk”

“Suburban Legends”

“Is It Over Now?”
