Beyoncé Returns to Texas for the Renaissance World Tour
Beyoncé returned to Texas this weekend on her Renaissance World Tour. Her record-breaking tour stopped at the AT&T Stadium on Thursday before heading to her hometown Houston, Texas.
The Renaissance World Tour was announced on February 1 in support of her seventh studio album, Renaissance (2022). It is the most anticipated highest-grossing tour by a female artist, which kicked off on May 10 at the Friends Arena in Stockholm, Sweden. This is Beyoncé’s first solo tour since the Formation World Tour 2016.
The “Break My Soul” singer is currently on the last leg of the Renaissance World Tour, which includes 56 shows, a three-hour-long set, and nine costume changes. The buzz is spreading around Texas as the BeyHive welcomes the singer back to her hometown with many festivities and celebrations to kick off her first show. Fifty thousand people expected to swarm the AT&T and the NRG Stadium to see Bey come alive on stage.
Beyoncé starts each night with “Dangerously in Love” (2003) and follows up with many of her early ballads before transitioning to songs from the Renaissance album. Beyoncé’s set list includes mixes of songs ranging from slow ballads to high-energy and even the mute challenge.
“Big wave in the room, the crowd gon’ move. Look around, everybody on mute,” Beyoncé sings during her performance of “Energy”. The challenge has since gone viral on the internet, showing off every city and state’s best attempt at staying on mute.
The BeyHive in Texas is gearing up for the mute challenge, and many fans took to Twitter to express their interest in partaking in the challenge.

Not only are Texans looking forward to the mute challenge, but also seeing Blue Ivy Carter, Beyoncé’s 11-year-old daughter, who appears as one of her backup dancers on the Renaissance World Tour. Blue comes out several times a night, hitting moves so smoothly during the set list of songs like “My Power” and “Black Parade.”
