Emma Stone stars with Nathan Fielder and Benny Safdie in the new Paramount+ series, The Curse, set to release November 10.

On September 27, the trailer for the new series The Curse was released, creating talk on what the show is going to be about. The trailer begins with eerie music playing in the background as the camera zooms in on Emma Stone and Nathan Fielder. They then share unique ways to extinguish fires in the fifty-second clip.

What can this mean for audience watchers and viewers? The trailer doesn’t give much insight into what viewers could expect to see in the series. Although, the trailer could potentially be foreshadowing what’s to come.

The Curse centers around a couple named Asher (Nathan Fielder) and Whitney Siegel (Emma Stone), who are hosts of a house-flipping series while attempting to conceive their first baby. However, they are having difficulty, putting stress on their lives. The trailer has the two characters being the center of a set, seemingly repeating lines with forced grins and cheerfulness. As the music progresses, the alleged “curse” darkens and hangs over their heads.

The 10-episode series marks Fielder’s return to television since Nathan for You and, more recently, The Rehearsal. The comedic is set to air on November 10 on Paramount+ and November 12 on Showtime at 10 pm ET/PT.
