Balenciaga Transcends Paris Fashion Week With Surprise Celebrity Lineup
Celebrities on the runway are nothing out of the ordinary for Fashion Shows. This year, Balenciaga stole the show with their runway lineup.
Balenciaga is always a highlight of Paris Fashion Week. They are known for inviting high-A-list celebrities to walk down the runway. The designers chose a range of well-known figures, such as Kim Kardashian, and lesser-known celebrities like Robin Meason, Balenciaga’s global PR director.

Designer Demna took another approach for this year’s runway. Not only were there celebrities, but he decided to cast people who run the fashion world. Legendary fashion critic for The Cut, Cathy Horyn, walked the show wearing an oversized suit and turtleneck.
Some old fashion favorites were included in the show as well. New York nightlife fixture Amanda Lepore had the crowd in excitement when she came down the runway with her classic catwalk in a black lace gown—her Old Hollywood hairstyle in full effect.

The first fashion blogger, Diane Pernet, also made an appearance on the runway wearing a leather trench coat and her signature headscarf.
The show took place on October 1, having many fashion lovers tuned in. Many well-known celebrities and designers were involved in walking on the runway, posing for the Balenciaga lookbook.
