Blueface was given a suspended sentence of 24-60 months for allegedly shooting the victim, Kentabius Taylor, outside of a Las Vegas Strip Club.
“[The victim] was attempting to leave in his truck after the fight and stated the males may have thought he was ‘going for a gun’ and started shooting at him in his truck,” according to documents obtained by 8 News Now.
Taylor told police that the bullet grazed his left hand.
Kristina Wildeveld, the attorney representing Blueface, has issued the following statement to XXL regarding the case’s resolution.
“This morning Mr. Porter was sentenced to probation not to exceed three years and he has the ability to earn a reduction to a gross misdemeanor charge upon successful completion of his probation,” Wildeveld states. “He is ultimately just looking forward to getting back to focusing on his music career and moving forward with his life.”
Before leaving the stand, Traylor held up his phone and appeared to take a photo. In a statement shared Monday with The Times, Porter’s attorneys Kristina Wildeveld and Lisa Rasmussen mentioned it was a “strange moment.”
“That was a first for us in our decades of litigation advocacy,” the statement claimed.
As per legal documents acquired by TMZ, Blueface and his entourage were present at Euphoric Gentlemen’s Club in Las Vegas on October 8. Allegedly, the victim in question had reportedly made a joke about the rapper conversing with “some females in a cheap vehicle.”
Therefore, cops state the joke set off members of Blueface’s crew, who allegedly hit the man “multiple times.”
The rapper pleaded guilty to two charges on Monday. In the previous week, Johnathan Porter’s legal representatives opted to forego his preliminary hearing and informed a judge that he intended to enter a guilty plea in district court on charges related to battery and discharging a firearm into an occupied structure.
On Monday, Judge Kathleen Delaney approved the plea agreement and set a sentencing date for October 2, as indicated in the records.
Under the terms of the arrangement, Blueface, according to his attorneys Kristina Wildeveld and Caitlyn McAmis, will exclusively be subject to probation during sentencing, as reported to 8 News Now last week.
